Shana Cartajena

ABA Therapist

Shana Cartajena is a Chicago-based ABA therapist and is native to the city. Spending the summers with her grandparents and uncle, she developed empathy for people with special needs, as her uncle was diagnosed with autism. Seeing the lack of support that he had motivated her to enter a helping profession. This led her to start working in elder care with adults who had a variety of developmental differences.

Later, she found her passion for childcare through being a private nanny and followed this by entering the field of ABA. Shana started her experience working as a front desk associate, then assisting BCBAs, and finally earning Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Shana has enjoyed all opportunities at providing clinic and in-home ABA services to children. She is passionate about continuing her education in the field of applied behavioral analysis.

Fun Fact: She enjoys spending her free time at the beach, getting a cup of coffee, and reading.
