Oparajita Orthi (who goes by Orthi) is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) based in Skokie, Illinois. She began working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in 2023 and has since gained experience providing services across clinic, school, and in-home settings.
She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at Ball State University, building on her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University Chicago. Her goal is to become a BCBA. Orthi has gained experience across various settings since 2023,where she implemented evidence-based interventions such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Natural Environment Teaching (NET), and managed challenging behaviors applying support strategies from individualized behavior plans.
In addition to her ABA experience, Orthi has a diverse background in caregiving and education. She has worked as a Home Care Aide supporting older adults with daily living activities, an Academic Tutor assisting students, and as a Polling Place Technician with the Cook County Clerk’s Office.
At SBS, Orthi is committed to delivering compassionate, client-centered care while collaborating with families and supervisors to support each learner’s progress and independence.
Fun fact: Orthi has two cats. She loves animals and enjoys nature walks. She hopes to visit all the national parks one day.
