Koraima is a Chicago-based board certified behavior analyst originally from Chicago, Illinois. Koraima graduated from Dominican University with a degree in General Psychology. During her time at Dominican, Koraima began her journey in the field of ABA conducting in-home sessions in 2018, along with playing on the basketball team. Koraima then attended Arizona State University where she received a Master of Arts in Special Education (Applied Behavior Analysis). While earning a Master’s degree, Koraima obtained a role as a training specialist in an ABA clinic where she trained staff members on the foundations of ABA. She enjoyed collaborating with other disciplines and held social groups once a week to work on skills involving following rules, playing motor games, and perspective taking.

Koraima’s passion has always been helping others reach their goals and understanding their value and purpose. Koraima had a blast conducting the social groups! This allowed her to develop leadership skills and create activities that would promote social awareness and friendships. This experience also showed Koraima that teaching can be done anywhere and very naturally!

Fun facts: Koraima had nine pets growing up and recently owned chickens. She also enjoys playing the saxophone on her days off.
