Illissa Charles is an ABA therapist originally from Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degreein Psychology and African Diaspora Studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 2020. After beginning her career as a Human Resources Specialist, Illissa chose to pursue a more meaningful path centered on supporting individuals and families.
Illissa’s introduction to ABA began in a clinical setting, where she provided one-on-one support to help clients develop social skills. Inspired by this experience, she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at Ball State University, where she is expanding her knowledge of ABA with an emphasis on autism.
As an ABA therapist, Illissa is passionate about building meaningful connections and supporting clients in developing skills that enhance their independence and quality of life.
Fun fact: In her free time, Illissa enjoys reading gothic classic novels, watching theater films, practicing yoga, and staying connected with family and friends.
