Elana is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst originally from Northbrook. Elana graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education in 2016. She returned to Chicago as a special education teacher before returning to school to receive a Master of Science degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2020. While earning her degree, she became an ABA therapist at SBS where she fell in love with the company and clients. She continued to pursue diverse experiences working in the school setting for the past three years before returning to SBS in 2023 as a BCBA.

Elana has always had a passion for helping people grow and learn. Her career began working as a one on one day camp counselor to support inclusion. In the schools, Elana was able to utilize ABA strategies to support her students. After becoming a BCBA, Elana led trainings for classroom staff to increase the understanding of behavior, ABA, and strategies to effectively change behavior. She also loves working with families to understand their needs and help them reach their goals.

Fun Fact: Elana loves to work with animals and used to train service dogs. She also loves exploring the city and trying new restaurants on her time off.
