Behavior Plans & Parent Coaching

Consistent, Positive Support Starts at Home

Empowering Families to Manage Challenging Behaviors with Confidence

At SBS ABA, we believe behavior change is most successful when it happens across all environments—especially at home. That’s why our services include individualized behavior plans paired with hands-on parent coaching to give families the tools, confidence, and support they need every day.

Our goal? To create a consistent, positive, and manageable approach to behavior that works for your child—and your family.

What is a Behavior Plan?

A Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) is a structured, evidence-based guide that helps reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive alternatives. Each plan is created by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) after observing and assessing your child’s specific needs.

Your custom behavior plan may include:

Identifying triggers and patterns of behavior

Strategies for prevention and redirection

Replacement behaviors that promote communication and independence

Positive reinforcement systems

Step-by-step guidance for caregivers and providers

Clear, consistent consequences

These plans are not generic—they’re tailored to your child’s unique environment, strengths, and challenges.

How ABA Helps with Potty Training

What is Parent Coaching?

Behavior plans only work when everyone is on the same page. That’s why we prioritize parent coaching as a core part of your child’s ABA services.

Our BCBAs provide one-on-one training to help you:

  • 👪 Understand your child’s behavior and what drives it

  • 🛠️ Implement strategies with consistency and confidence

  • 🧘‍♀️ Manage tough moments without escalating stress

  • 📊 Track progress and celebrate wins

  • 🔁 Adjust strategies as your child grows and changes

We know parenting is hard—especially when behaviors feel out of control. Our goal is to make sure you never feel alone or unsure about what to do next.

Why This Matters

When behavior plans are implemented consistently—by therapists, teachers, and caregivers—they lead to meaningful, lasting changes. Parent involvement has been shown to significantly increase the success of ABA therapy, reduce challenging behaviors faster, and build strong, supportive routines that benefit the entire family.
